This fungus normally lives as a parasite in a certain type of caterpillar and utilises it completely. Thanks to advances in cultivation technology, the mycelium of the fungus can now be cultivated in a bioreactor. This has reduced the availability and costs of the Chinese caterpillar fungus. You can obtain this mushroom from us as a powder or extract.
Composition:
Cordicipin® is a light brown powder that contains around 5 to 6 % water. It also contains an average of 32 to 34 % polysaccharides, around 5.8 % protein and less than 1.3 % fat. Cordicipin® also contains: 0.5 % adenosine, an important component of ribonucleic acid.
An analysis for heavy metal residues of lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury yielded results that are all far below the permitted levels. The purity analysis of Cordicipin® also showed very satisfactory results throughout.
