The Brazilian Egerling (Agaricus brasiliensis) belongs to the mushroom genus and, just like the cultivated mushroom, lives on the ground. This mushroom originally comes from Brazil, where it has been held in high esteem for many generations. We use the extract of this mushroom in our products.

Composition:

Agaricin is a light brown powder that still contains an average of 5 to 6 % residual water. It also contains more than 40 % polysaccharides, more than a quarter of which are ß-glucans, over 6.4 % protein, but less than 1.4 % fat. The mineral content of agaricin® averages 7 to 8 %. The mushroom fruiting bodies come from controlled organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-003).

Tests for heavy metal residues in Agarikin®, specifically lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury, have shown that the results are far below the permitted levels for this product and that the extract is practically free of these heavy metals. The same positive results are shown by the hygiene tests of the Agarikin®. The total number of germs and the number of yeasts and moulds is far below the maximum permissible limit. Escherechia coli, salmonella and staphylococci could not be detected at all in the extract.

Of the pesticides, the agaricin® was searched for organic chlorine compounds, organic phosphorus compounds and pyrethroids, but without success. The pesticide groups are not detectable in the extract.
