The shiny lacquer mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) has been known in China for 3000 years and is called "Ling zhi" (plant of immortality). Its Japanese name "Reishi" has the same meaning.
Reishi has been used in Asia for around 4000 years, although in Japan it was reserved for the imperial court for a long time. However, its positive properties have also long been known in our part of the world. Hildegard von Bingen, for example, described this mushroom in her work. We are also aware of the many uses of rice shi, which is why we use the powder and extract in our products.
Composition:
Ganodermin® is a brown powder that still contains an average of 5 to 6 % residual water. It also contains around 34 % polysaccharides, of which around two thirds are ß-glucans, 3.6 % protein, 5.8 % minerals, only 0.80 % fat, but 1.6 % triterpenes. The mushroom fruiting bodies come from controlled organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-003).
The tests for heavy metal residues showed that the product is practically free of residues of lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury. The purity test, which covered the presence of undesirable germs in the extract, also ended with very satisfactory results throughout. Ganodermin® is free of pesticide residues, i.e. organic chlorine, phosphorus and nitrogen compounds as well as pyrethroids.
