In China, this free mushroom has been consumed for around 2000 years and cultivated for around 1000 years. Shii-take can be grown on the wood of deciduous trees. Chinese scholars have called it the "elixir of life" for centuries.
We offer products containing the mushroom powder or extract.
Composition:
Lentinulin®is a light brown powder. It contains on average between 5 and 6 % residual water. It also contains around 32 % polysaccharides. The ß-glucan content of the extract averages 25 %. Other important ingredients are protein (8.5 %), fat (approx. 0.02 %) and minerals (8-9 %). The mushroom fruiting bodies come from controlled organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-003).
Analyses of Lentinulin® for possible heavy metal residues, especially lead, cadmium and mercury residues, showed that Lentinulin® is practically free of these heavy metals. Even the most modern methods of analysis detected only the slightest traces. The extensive hygiene testing of Lentinulin® also led to very satisfactory results. The extract is free from pathogenic microorganisms. We regularly analyse Lentinulin® for pesticide residues. We focus on organic chlorine, phosphorus and nitrogen compounds as well as pyrethroids. These pesticide groups are not detectable in Lentinulin®.
