In China, this mushroom has been consumed for around 2000 years and cultivated for around 1000 years. Shii-take can be grown on the wood of deciduous trees. We offer products containing the mushroom powder or extract.

The powder is made from dried and ground shii-take fruit bodies.

Composition:

Shiitake contains considerable amounts of protein. It also contains the minerals potassium and zinc. It is also rich in polysaccharides such as lentinan. On average, almost 14 % of its dry mass consists of amino acids, including eritadenine. Nucleic acids are among the most important cell components, of which shii-take contains far more than cereals or meat, for example. Its high content of ergosterol, a precursor of vitamin D, is also remarkable.

We produce dried, ground shiitake from the fruiting bodies of the mushroom. The mushroom fruiting bodies come from certified organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-003). Experts also check the quality of the powder in our laboratories. And take it very seriously. One pack contains 50 g of powder. The powder is also available in 1000g packs on request.
